BRIAN TUCKER – PRINCIPAL AND FOUNDER

Brian has over 16 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising  and marketing, working for agencies such as Russ ReidTrueSense, and DDB Seattle. He has also spent five years on the “client side” working for World Vision, one of the 20 largest charities in the United States.  

His talents ranges from traditional direct response to digital and social media marketing, video, and content marketing.

Brian is a frequent speaker at the DMA Nonprofit Conference in New York. In his spare time, he competes in various road, cyclocross, and mountain biking events in the Pacific Northwest.

Jenny Lockwald – General Manager & Leadership Coach

Jenny has 30+ years of diverse executive leadership and strategic business expertise in both the non-profit and for-profit sectors with proficiency in marketing, merchandising, working with product development groups, employee development, and leading teams to exceptional ROIs. Jenny is recognized for her ability to work across multiple stakeholders internally and externally at all levels of an organization while bringing groups with competing goals and views to a focused approach and vision with clearly defined outcomes. 

While best known for her leadership abilities and creative marketing and execution expertise, behind the scenes she has directed complex systems involving database development, streamlining processes, and skillfully leading change management. Jenny is a well-connected knowledge manager who can roll up her sleeves and dive into the details as easily as she can lead and direct projects.

EVAN BLACKFORD – CREATIVE DIRECTOR AND EXECUTIVE PRODUCER

Evan is the founder and principal of our production partner, Blackford Creative.

He produces award-winning content and impactful campaigns that achieve results. As the former Director of Digital and TV Production and Digital Creative Director at Russ Reid, he has deep experience in all stages of multi-channel production, bringing effective fundraising ideas to life.

His experience in the nonprofit sector is vast, with clients that include American Red Cross, World Vision, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Susan G. Komen, Operation Smile and regional nonprofits across the country.

Before fundraising, Evan practiced attracting and engaging audiences in entertainment. He led teams responsible for creating websites, web video, digital marketing and social content in support of prime time TV programming at Lifetime Television and TheWB.com.

He’s not one to brag, but we’ll do it for him. Past hardware includes Tellys, DMA ECHOs and Webbys.

LISA BERGLUND – VIDEOGRAPHER, EDITOR AND PRODUCER

Lisa Berglund, the founder of Gold Dog Media, is an award-winning videographer, editor, producer, and storyteller.  For over 50 years, the National Press Photographers Association has awarded its Photographer of the Year to the finest in the nation.  Lisa was the first and only woman videographer to receive this honor.

Lisa’s work with corporations, international news groups, and non-profit organizations has given her powerful professional experience – including shooting, producing, and editing news, marketing, and promotional videos, documentaries, PSAs, and music videos.

Lisa’s specializes in working in some of the most remote corners of the world, because she feels strongly about giving a voice to people who are rarely heard.  She has worked  in over 25 countries, including Angola, Rwanda, Democratic Republic of Congo Sri Lanka, India, and Ecuador. (But she's just as comfortable working domestically!)

In her free time, Lisa enjoys spending time at the beach, wine tasting with friends, and competing in agility trials with her Golden Retriever, Sugar, and Border Collie, Tai.

NATALIE VARGAS – ART DIRECTOR AND DIGITAL DESIGNER

Natalie is an enthusiastic, deeply experienced, and impeccably trained art director living in beautifully brooding Seattle. She puts her heart into everything she does and every project she touches. She was raised with an uncommon work ethic, has incredible attention to detail, and a talent for bringing people together. She has expertise across channels including print catalogs, direct mail, craft work and video graphics. But her true calling and current focus is delivering highly effective digital creative to exceptional nonprofits.

Bill Ireland – Writer and creative director

Bill writes all kinds of copy, but specializes in fundraising appeals for nonprofits. His clients have included multinational organizations and local missions; large agencies and individuals.  

He also writes sales copy, feature articles, brochures, email campaigns, white papers, and books.  As a ghostwriter, he helps people tell their stories and get published (here’s an example).  

In his spare time, Bill likes to hike, read, play music, and think about how cool it would be to surf, snowboard and skydive. He lives in Southern California with Ileana, his wife of four decades.
